Ive been working on contacting bands for interviews, including the funny techno guys Goat Explosion, hardcore kids As I lay Dying and American Tragedy, Element 101, Morella's Forest, and a couple others. I have really been getting into Joy Electric lately. I used to think they were just silly. HM has been going well, but the long hours leave no time for anything else, and I have to go to Wichita Falls tonite for a graduation...5 hour drive after working all day. oh well. That will take my whole weekend, and next weekend is the same for another graduation.
Today at HM, I broke the kitchen bar...The computer I use was set up there and I had been leaning on it. I heard a crack and thought "oh crap" and then it just ripped away from the wall and other thing. Luckily I sort of caught the computer and everything went into my lap. Doug, the Editor, wasn't mad, but i still feel really bad.
Hey kids. There is some "intern diary" thing up on the HM site. I encourage you to read mine. It is on the right had side of the page: HM Magazine.
I found a discount movie theater last night which I think I will be constantly frequenting. I went to see Van Wilder, but ended up hosting my eyes to John Q. The Royal Tenenbaums is also playing, and I think i will go watch it every night. Hey, only $1.50!

I have not posted in a week or so because I have been very busy. I moved into Austin, which is very exciting. Also, I began my internship at HM. So far it is great. They are really laid back, and just a few minutes ago, I got a bunch of free CDs and T-shirt. Also, I am probably going to be able to go to the Creation and Cornerstone festivals in July. I am still looking for a job, though.
Also, HM is very tiring because I am gone from 7am to 6pm. 11 hrs. Hopefully, I will get to write a few articles in the next issue. Yesterday, we had an editorial meeting where we discussed what will be in the next issue, and I suggested quite a few bands and articles. Also, The Juliana Theory or Dennison Marrs might be on the cover! Im not sure if I am supposed to say that or not.
Everyone, check out a band called Dead Poetic. They are pretty darn good.
